    Empty and sweep

    Take everything out, including trash and packing leftovers. A quick sweep and the space is ready for the next journey.

    Take your things

    Take everything that’s yours and leave the smart lock in place. The space should look the way it did on move-in day.

    Snap a photo

    One clear photo of the empty space with the door open, so we can see it’s clear. That photo is your move-out.

    Send it. You’re done.

    Send it through the app or the form below. Our team confirms your move-out, then access turns off.

We use these details only to process your move-out. Your rental agreement covers the terms for your space.

Move-out FAQs

Nothing. The space should be empty and swept: no boxes, furniture, trash or packing leftovers. If something won’t fit in your last load, call us before move-out day and we’ll talk it through.

Leave it. Every space has a built-in smart lock that stays with the unit. Snap your photo of the empty space with the door open, then close the door.

The app is the fastest way: send the photo from Storage Smart Entry and our team confirms your move-out. No app handy? Send the form on this page, or call or email us, and a person on our team will follow up.

10 days’ written notice. Journey is month-to-month, with no long-term contract, and your rental agreement has the details for your space. Not sure what applies to you? Call (817) 579-0607 and we’ll walk you through it.

If anything is still open on your account, you’ll see it there, and you can pay it the same way you always do. Questions about your last payment? Call or email us and a person will sort it out with you.

Once your move-out is confirmed, your gate and unit access turn off. So finish your last trip before you send the photo.
